Welcome to the P.H. Gonzales Elementary Web site! We know this site will help you get to know us better and answer any questions you may have about our school. We are a Pre-K through 8th grade elementary school in Tolleson, AZ, located approximately 10 miles west of Phoenix.
Our exceptional faculty and staff, as well as our outstanding students, set us apart from the rest. We have earned an A+ School of Excellence ranking in Arizona and are dedicated to providing an outstanding education for all our students. We also offer many activities for students to participate in. From clubs to sports, we know you will find one that interests you.

On behalf of the Porfirio H. Gonzales staff, thank you for visiting our school website. We hope that it will be a great tool to keep you connected with the staff, events, and important information you need as a parent and community member.
It is hard to believe that we have already completed our first nine weeks of school. After being here just a few short months, please know that I am both honored and pleased to have joined such an amazing school community. We are focusing our efforts on student achievement and will work together with you to ensure your student reaches their highest potential. You may have heard that we are going to be raffling off a bicycle at the end of the year for students who have perfect attendance. Each quarter your student has perfect attendance they will receive one entry into the raffle. Thank you for getting your child to school on time, every day. This helps maximize their learning time with us. We have a variety of programs happening before and after school to support student learning and enrichment. Please get involved with the school and volunteer in the classroom by helping teachers prepare materials, help run centers, or just be a listening ear to help a young child learn to read. You can also join the PTA, attend the monthly BBQ spirit lunches, help your child with their homework (ask them to see it when they say they are done), and always ask questions of us if you need some clarification. We need you!
