Our mission here at P.H. Gonzalez Elementary is to provide a high quality education while promoting the personal potential of all students in a safe, secure and positive environment. We feel that a positive school culture and climate are central to having an effective school.

Student and staff performance increase when a positive environment and trusted support system is in place. We are committed to providing this type of atmosphere to ensure the solid growth of our fabulous students and staff. 

We have four main goals here at P.H. Gonzalez, that we feel help us continue to focus on providing an excellent education for our students:

• To increase the number of students meeting or exceeding the Arizona State Standards in all tested academic areas.
• To provide quality, research-based reading instruction and intervention in grades K-3 to assure that students become fluent readers by the end of 3rd grade.
• To implement and refine standards-based curriculum maps and assessments in grades K-8, and to use test results to refine and adjust instructional intervention strategies for all students.
• To maintain a school culture of mutual respect between students, staff, parents and the community.
